Me, Briefly
Hello, my name is Nicole Taghert Bergstrom.

I help alternative health providers reach more clients, expand their practice, get more revenue, establish thought leadership.

Several years ago I was the owner and executive producer of a highly successful film production company, based in Chicago, traveling the States and Canada.

Several years ago, family health matters up-ended life and business.

And I was ready to change direction.

Writing has always been part of my life, though it wasn’t the primary way I made a living.

Now I am excited to pursue it full-time as a strategic content and copywriter in the interest of natural health...mind, body, spirit and our connection to earth, as there is no planet B.

A different way to produce stories. A different set of dots to connect. Different kinds of problem to solve.

Surgeons in Operating Room

MONITORING THE CRITICALLY ILL PATIENT

The camera was positioned above the patient on the operating table. During the start of the procedure, the patient’s barrel chest was swabbed with a gold liquid.

When they started to apply the electric saw, I blacked out.

I was a summer intern at Scientificom, a medical film production company.

My first assignment was to write a review of a short they were producing for distribution, “Monitoring the Critically Patient.” What I hadn’t figured on was being there live at the time of the surgery and the filming.

I saw nothing of the real-time interaction between the surgeon, the anesthesiologist, the nurses and the information the monitor provided.

I missed all the action. However! I was undaunted, and started on a plan to make up for that bit of lost consciousness.

I found out what the patient suffered from, and his condition before and after surgery. I called and talked to as many as I could of the people involved in the making of this monitor, and the decision to use it in surgery.

I talked to those who were there during the filming (and conscious.)

I found out details of how well the monitor worked minute by minute in the operating room, and how easily the surgical team integrated the data with the procedure.

I wrote a good story. The copy read as if I’d been fully present at the demonstration (surgery).

My review was full of proof: The operation went more smoothly!  The patient recovered more quicky!

And a clear call to action: Rent, Buy, View this Video!

Response was excellent.
